Lithium Plants

LITHIUM is an element valuable for the production of glass, aluminum products, and batteries. With the development of technology, electronic equipment, and new energy industries, the demand for lithium ore has increased rapidly. Therefore, lithium ore is known as the “energy metal that drives the progress of the world”.

LITHIUM is mined from ores of petalite LiAl(Si2O5)2, lepidolite K(Li,Al)3(Al,Si,Rb)4O10(F,OH)2, spodumene LiAl(SiO3)2 and also subsurface brines.

Bond Equipment’s proprietary technology is uniquely positioned to beneficiate Lithium bearing minerals such as Spodumene and Petalite.  Bond has been able to improve the Li2O grade from 2.3% to 6.4% with a Lithium recovery >70%.

The Bond Equipment technology is able to perform efficient separation utilising traditional Dense Medium Cyclones down to 500µm, with high efficiency and excellent FeSi recovery. This is made possible through the implementation of the Bond Retardation Screen, a high efficiency, cost-effective screening module capable of achieving screening efficiencies >90% at cutpoints  below 500µm.  This combination of highly efficient fine processing technologies is ideally suited to processing fine grained minerals (typical of the lithium bearing material) with liberation sizes below 2mm.
